资源简介:
Sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT-2) inhibitors are a class of medicine that help people with diabetes (a condition where blood sugar is not well controlled) by lowering their blood sugar. They work by making the kidneys get rid of extra sugar through the urine. Scientists have also found that these medicines can help protect the heart and kidneys in both people with and without diabetes.
Doctors have noticed that these medicines might not work the same way for everyone, depending on where they live. For example, people in one part of the world might see better results than people in another. Understanding why this happens is important because it helps doctors make better decisions about how to treat their patients and make sure everyone gets the best care possible.
Previous studies have shown a difference in effect of these medicine when comparing different continents. Our goals is to figure out why these differences occur. For example, we’ll check if things like age, gender, or how other health problems like high blood pressure or cholesterol are managed, and whether any of these factors could explain the differences. This way, we can give doctors better information to help their patients.
By doing this research, we hope to make sure that people everywhere can benefit as much as possible from these medicines, no matter where they live.
