"Ein Krieger" ("A warrior"). A Maasai(?) or Arusha(?) warrior with schoulder-length braids holding a big knife and a stick. On the far right another person. In the background a house with thatched roof.; Cf. photo no. 309, album no. 19. -- Leonhard Blumer (1878-1938), from Kida in Estonia, served the Leipzig Mission as pastor and teacher in Arusha from 1907 to 1930 (apart from home leave in 1912-1913 and 1924-1926).
