This project investigates expressed gene sequences associated DNA sequence variations in a plant genera (Diabelia) that speciated in East Asia, aiming to reconstruct its biogeographic history. Data analysis will be performed to screen EST-associated microsatellite markers and develop low-copy nuclear gene markers, which will be used for genotyping population samples collected for all the member of this genus.
