By analyzing the usage frequency and transaction amount of IC cards, this dataset aims to obtain passenger flow and consumption status of different bus companies across various time periods, so as to optimize vehicle scheduling, shift arrangement and operational strategies; by comparing the usage of different types of IC cards, it can identify which IC card types are more popular and which time periods have higher passenger flow, thereby supporting market positioning and marketing promotion.
1. Data Collection: Collect data including bus company names, time, usage frequency of various IC cards and transaction amounts via the IC card report system.
2. Data Preprocessing: Aggregate the collected data based on the time dimension (e.g., daily), and clean the data by removing or correcting outliers and missing values to ensure data accuracy.
3. Data Calculation:
- Total trips of the bus company = Ordinary card trips + Student card trips + Senior card trips + Other card trips + General monthly card trips + Student monthly card trips + Senior monthly card trips;
- Total transaction amount of the bus company = Ordinary card amount + Student card amount + Senior card amount + Other card amount + General monthly card amount + Student monthly card amount + Senior monthly card amount;
- Average fare per trip of the bus company (yuan/trip) = Total transaction amount of the bus company / Total trips of the bus company;
- Total daily trips = Sum of total trips of all 9 bus companies;
- Total daily transaction amount = Sum of total transaction amounts of all 9 bus companies;
- Average daily fare per trip (yuan/trip) = Total daily transaction amount / Total daily trips.
