资源简介:
The Symptom Management Implementation of Patient-Reported Outcomes in Oncology (SIMPRO) Research Consortium was established in 2018 to develop, implement, and evaluate the eSyM (electronic symptom management) program. eSyM is an EHR-integrated ePRO-based symptom management program for chemotherapy and surgery patients that was designed to help patients be more effective stewards of their own care, and to enable clinicians to anticipate problems and intervene to manage symptoms before they escalate. SIMPRO is comprised of 6 US-based healthcare systems: Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (Boston, MA), Brown University Health (Providence, RI), Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center (Lebanon, NH), Maine Medical Center (Portland, ME), West Virginia University Cancer Institute (Morgantown, WV), and Baptist Cancer Center (Memphis, TN). To assess eSyM’s impact, we created the SIMPRO Research Consortium Data Commons, a repository that currently contains demographic, clinical, PROMs and healthcare utilization data from more than 40,000 patients across the six SIMPRO sites. Data was collected between January 2018 and March 2024.
