Data and code for the publication: "Excitable quantum systems: the bosonic avalanche laser"

This set contains the data and codes used to generate the figures of the manuscript 'Excitable quantum systems: the bosonic avalanche laser' (see https://doi.org/10.48550/arXiv.2509.05290 for the preprint version). The code 'MFcasc_ampli_run', which uses the routine 'MFcasc_ampli', was used for the simulation of the mean-field model, and produced the data used in Fig.2 and 3 of the main text, and Fig.7,8 and 9 of the SI. The code 'MC_casc_savefreq', which uses the routine 'sim_cascwithloss', was used for the Monte-Carlo simulation of the full model, and produced the data used in Fig.4 and 5 of the main text, and Fig.10 of the SI. The data produced by these two codes is saved in the files starting with 'FigX_YYYY'. See the files 'FigX_Readme.txt' for details. The files 'plot_PD.m' and 'plot_SCR.m' are small codes used to produce the figures from these data files. See again 'FigX_Readme.txt' for details.
