Kunshan City Plant Community Ecology and Aesthetics Dataset

This dataset supports the findings of the study titled "The green paradox: reconciling ecology and aesthetics in urban plant communities." The data were collected from multiple urban parks in Kunshan City, China, through systematic field surveys. The dataset includes measurements of critical structural attributes of urban plant communities, including vegetation density, tree height, canopy closure, and species diversity, as well as their coupling coordination degree (CCD) with aesthetic evaluations. Non-linear threshold modeling was applied to identify key thresholds among these structural attributes and their relationships with CCD. The dataset is archived as the Kunshan City Plant Community Ecology and Aesthetics Dataset, provided in CSV/Excel format, accompanied by a README file describing the data structure and variable definitions.
