资源简介:
This study used untargeted metabolomics of liver and muscle to investigate the effects of rumen-protected methionine and choline during the periparturient period in dairy cows. Feeding these methyl donors modulated pathways related to glucose, lipid, and redox metabolism, supporting hepatic function and muscle integrity under the metabolic stress of the transition into lactation. By identifying hub metabolites and key metabolic networks, these findings highlight nutritional strategies that can improve transition cow health, reduce metabolic disorders, and enhance production efficiency. The results provide insights into targeted feeding approaches, with potential economic benefits for dairy producers and positive impacts on animal welfare and sustainability.
