Genomic Epidemiology of carbapenem-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa (CRPA) in Three Tertiary Hospitals in Manila, Philippines

The study highlights the identification of the co-existence of KPC-2 and VIM-2 in the Philippines, as well as 13 the co-expression of NDM-7, TEM-1, and CTX-M-15, which were first documented in this article. This research presented an insight into the current genetic characteristics of 35 CRPA strains collected from August 2022 to January 2023 in three tertiary hospitals in Manila, Philippines, highlighting the co-expression of plasmid-borne carbapenemases as well as the epidemiologic landscape utilizing both MLST and cgMLST.
