Members of Geobacillus were found to live in kinds of environments and have attracted the interest for their potential applications as sources of various thermostable enzymes. Geobacillus thermodenitrificans is Gram-positive, facultative and thermophilic soil bacteria with the property of denitrification. Here we reported the genome sequence of G. thermodenitrificans DSM465 for its industrial prospects and to perform comparative genomic analysis with other thermophilic bacteria.
