Thisarticleempiricallyinvestigatesthepersonal-psychologicalfactorscontributingtotheriskofrecidivismamongindividualsunderprobation,specificallyfocusingontheinteractionbetweenlocusofcontrol,aggressiveness,andemotionalintelligence.ThestudywasconductedwiththeparticipationofindividualsunderthesupervisionofprobationdepartmentsintheJizzakhandBukhararegions.PsychodiagnosticanalyseswerecarriedoutusingthemethodologiesofD.V.Lyusin,J.Rotter,L.G.Pochebut,andR.Cattell.Theobtainedresultsdemonstratedastrongcorrelationbetweenthestudiedpsychologicalcharacteristicsandtheriskofrecidivism.Specifically,multiplelinearregressionanalysisprovedthatanexternallocusofcontrolcombinedwithweakemotionalregulationexacerbatesaggressivebehavior(especiallyemotionalandself-directedaggression),actingastheprimarymechanismincreasingtheriskofreoffending.Conversely,ahighlevelofintrapersonalemotionalintelligenceandaninternallocusofcontrolwereidentifiedasprotectivemechanismsthatmitigatethisrisk
