High-resolution carbon and biodiversity mapping shows correlated losses across space and agricultural products

Code and spatial results associated with the publised paper of the same name. The "code" folder contains the R scripts used to support this study. A README file is provided with detailed descriptions of the R scripts. All analyses were implemented in R version 4.3.3. The spatial results (at spatial resolution 3 arcmin) include: carbon loss density maps (MgC/ha) for biomass, soil and total carbon pool (biomass and soil); carbon loss maps (MgC) for cropland, pasture and total agricultual land (cropland and pasture); biodiveristy loss density maps (PDF/m2) for cropland and pasture; biodiversity loss maps (PDF) for cropland, pasture and total agricultual land (cropland and pasture); combined loss density maps (unitless) for cropland and pasture; bivariate maps coded by different loss categories for global losses in agricultual land, as well as for losses related to global ASF and PSF consumption (see the coding system discription in the subfolder); land use footprint maps (ha) for global ASF consumption and global PSF consumption.
