Our research shows that maize seed germination under low temperature caused down-regulation of photosynthesis related genes in both low temperature sensitive maize inbred line (SM) and low temperature resistant maize inbred line (RM) lines, but SM line had higher the decrease degree of photosynthetic system than RM line. Moreover, SM line displayed down-regulation of ribosome and SOD related genes, whereas genes involved in SOD and vitamin B6 were up-regulated in RM.
