The dataset contain the hypercubes used to inspect the vertical profile of the ultraviolet emission of the Io footprint at Jupiter as observed by the Ultraviolet Spectrograph onboard Juno. The hypercubes in the matlab files results from a detailed process of projecting the instrument field of view on a custom-made surface that approximate the position of the aurora of the Io footprint. The description on the data processing from Juno-UVS list of photons to the hypercubes is given in Moirano et al., 2026. The cubes dimensions are the Alfvén-tail distance (see 10.1029/2020GL089267 for its defintion), altitude from the 1-bar pressure level, wavelenght in nm and time (represented by Juno's spin number). The file naming is 'cube_PJNN_S0Y_hhmmss_HHMMSS_oo.mat', where NN is Juno's perijove number Y is the sequence number within a given perijove hhmmss and HHMMSS are the start and end time of the sequence (hours, minutes, seconds) oo can be 'ws' or 'ns', indicating the usage of the wide or narrow slit of the spectrograph, respectively. The files are matlab savefiles (.mat) in a tar.gz compressed archive.
