This database holds 1,487 distribution records of roughly 800 macrofungal species reported and surveyed since the 21st century in the Southwest Alpine Gorges region, covering 39 counties across four provinces: Qinghai (10 records), Sichuan (949 records), Tibet (448 records), and Yunnan (80 records). The data were primarily sourced from long-term fieldwork accumulated through relevant research projects and well-known domestic plant-related websites, including the Hengduan Mountains Biodiversity Database. The dataset contains species, genus, family, order, and class names of the macrofungi in this region, alongside information on their distribution provinces and counties. This dataset has preliminarily clarified the current diversity and distribution status of macrofungi in the Southwest Alpine Gorges region, providing a robust data foundation for the conservation, planning, and sustainable utilization of macrofungal resources.
