16S rRNA sequencing of cervical microbiota across HPV infection states and CIN stages

This project investigates the composition and diversity of cervical microbiota in women across different HPV infection states and stages of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN). Using 16S rRNA gene sequencing, we profiled bacterial communities from cervical swab samples, compared diversity metrics among groups, and identified taxa associated with disease progression. The findings provide insights into microbial shifts in HPV-associated cervical neoplasia and may contribute to the development of microbial biomarkers for diagnosis and prognosis.
