Shotgun metagenomics study of fecal microbiota from newly diagnosed IBD patients

Microbiota from stool samples from newly diagnosed, treatment-naive IBD patients was investigated using shotgun metagenomic sequencing and subsequent bioinformatic analysis. BioSamples were described according to the following clinical features: host disease (healthy, ulcerative colitis, Crohns disease, indeterminate colitis); location_cd_patients (healthy, ileal, colonic, ileocolonic, not applicable), behavior_cd_patients (healthy, inflammatory, stricturing, penetrating, not applicable), endoscopic_activity_ses_cd (healthy, mild, moderate, severe, not applicable), cdai (healthy, non active, mild, moderate, severe, not applicable), extension_uc_patients (healthy, proctitis, left sided colitis, extensive colitis, not applicable), endoscopic_mayo_index (healthy, mild, moderate, severe, not applicable).
