Location of home purchase in the U.S. in 2021, by age group

The general trend of locations of homes purchased in the United States in 2021 was generally similar among all age groups. The most popular location to purchase a home was in the suburbs or in a subdivision. At least 45 percent of buyers in all age groups purchased a home in such a location. The least popular location across all age groups was the resort or recreational areas.
