PsPM-SPRM: Simultaneous skin conductace, susceptance, and potential measurements, together with ECG, respiration, and eyetracker measurements, from various experimental tasks

This dataset includes (1) skin conductance (SCR), electrocardiogram (ECG), respiration measurements recorded with Biopac Acknowledge, (2) combined skin conductance, skin potential and skin susceptance response measurements recorded with labview, and (3) eyetracking data for each of 39 healthy unmedicated participants (20 males and 19 females aged 23.9+/-2.6 years), who participated in the following set of experiments:(1) Resting period of 120 s(2) Mild pain. 10 uncomfortable electric stimulations are delivered (see below) with an inter trial interval of (uniformly at random) 30, 35 or 40 s.(3) Auditory oddball task with two different pure sine sounds of 50 ms duration (440 Hz, 660 Hz, randomly assigned per participant to standards and deviants) played at a rate of 1 Hz. Ten sounds are deviants with instruction to press a key when a deviant is detected. The interval between two deviants is drawn uniformly at random from the integers 31-39 seconds. (4) Visual detection task. 10 red crosses (RGB 255, 0, 0) are embedded in a 1 Hz stream of white digits (200 ms presentation, 800 ms interval) on a black background. The instruction is to press a key when a red cross is detected. The inter trial interval is randomly determined to be 30, 35 or 40 s.(5) White noise (1 s duration, 10 ms onset ramp, 85 dB loudness): 10 single sounds, 10 double sounds with 3 s inter stimulus interval, 5 double sounds with 6.5 s inter stimulus interval. Inter trial interval differs between subjects (5 - 6 s).(6) Pavlovian fear conditioning. CS are two triangles (RGB 255, 176, 0 and 255, 125, 255; randomly assigned per participant to CS+ and CS-) and US is electric stimulation (see below). The instruction is to press the cursor left or right key to indicate the colour of the CS (colour-key mapping randomly assigned per participant). Reinforcement rate for CS+ is 0.5. CS are displayed for 4 s, US starts after 3.5 seconds. Inter-trial interval is 7-11 s. (7) Rapid electric shocks to increase tonic skin conductance level. 10 uncomfortable electric stimulations are delivered (see below) with an inter trial interval of 0.5 s.(8) White noise, as experiment (5). 10 single sounds with an inter trial interval that differs between subjects (6 s, or 30-40 s). Electric stimulation for experiments (2), (6) and (7) was a 1 s train of 250 electric square pulses, delivered with a constant current stimulator (Digitimer DS7A, Digitimer, Welwyn Garden City, UK) on participants' dominant forearm through a pin-cathode/ring-anode configuration. A pain threshold procedure preceded the experiment, consisting of an staircase until clear pain was reported, followed by ratings of random stimuli.
