Soil Survey Report of the Liukuei Experimental Fores -Soil analysis

A soil survey project was conducted in the 9616.19 ha. Forest area of Liukuei Experimental forest. Parent material and steep relief are the major factors controlling soil genesis.
The soil in Liukuei can be classified into ten soil series: Fun Ci Shan Series (Typic Hapludults), Gi Tan Shan Series (Typic Dystrochrepts), Mei Long Series (Typic Haplohumults), Nansuao Shan Series (Typic Haplumbrepts), Nanshan Series (Typic Udorthents), Shi Shan Show Hu Series (Typic Haplorthods), Santi Men Series (Typic Haplohumults), Wu Tai Tsun Series (Udorthents), Wan Shan Series (Typic Dystrochrepts).Yung Chun Li Series (Dystrochrepts). And sixteen soil mapping units were used for entire area: Fcs (0.31%), Ml (2.04%), Mls (0.4%), Nsa (5.82%), Nsh (5.16%), Stm (2.66%), Wss (3.92%), Ycl (23.71%), Gts-Mls (8.43%), Ml-Nsh (1.25%), Ml-Wat (0.61), Nsa-Ycl (3.26%), Nsh-Wat (0.48%), Nsh-Ycl (15.57%), Stm-Ycl (2.8%), Wss-Ycl (23.58%).
