This dataset focuses on 282 prefecture-level cities in China, spanning the period from 2004 to 2020. Its core variables include green economic efficiency (gee), population agglomeration (pop), economic agglomeration (eco) and industrial agglomeration (ind), as well as agglomeration indicators (npop, neco, nind) calculated via alternative measurement methods. It also covers control factors such as urban infrastructure (infra), government attention (gover) and opening-up (open), instrumental variables including railway accessibility (rail) and terrain relief (tu), as well as division information for regions (area), city size (size) and provinces (pro). Missing data are imputed using the mean of adjacent upper and lower values. The dataset has a total size of 364.17 KB, stored as a single file, and is openly accessible under the CC0 license.
