Air pressure impact on rhizosphere microbiota

This sequencing dataset originates from an experimental study investigating the effects of reduced air pressure on plant microbe interactions in the rhizosphere of three plant species. Air pressure changes were simulated using hypobaric chambers at the terraXcube Ecotron facility. Soil pots planted with different plant species were incubated under controlled conditions for 28 days. Illumina NovaSeq 6000 sequencing with a paired-end approach (250 bp) targeting the V3-V4 region of the prokaryote 16S rRNA gene (primer pair 341F/805R) and the fungal ITS2 region (primer pair ITS3-2024F/ITS4-2409R) was performed. A comprehensive set of eco-physiological, chemical, and microbial parameters was measured.
