This dataset contains biomass and compositional data of periphyton from 5 alpine glacier-fed rivers from the European Alps sampled in summers 2021 and 2022. Furthermore, it contains data on the habitat (water) turbidity (reported as dissolved and transported sediment concentrations, mg/L or mg/s).
