Survey crews of the City of Los Angeles Water Department, Los Angeles, California, USA, circa 1910s. The crew consists of six automobiles and a horse-drawn wagon and about thirty men in the vehicles or next to them posed next to a brick building with a large awning across its facing side. Most of the men are in work clothes, such as overalls, although a few wear jackets and some have ties. In the front are two cars with long wood stakes attached to the side. The car on the right has the department name on the hood of the engine compartment. There are no identifying marks to the photo, which appears to be produced later, and with some soiling and creases, the overall condition is good.
