PHIDU - Emergency Department Presentations - Emergency (PHN) 2017-2018

This dataset, released June 2020, contains Emergency department presentations for emergency by principal diagnosis, 2017/18. Presentations include Emergency presentations - Total; Emergency presentations for diseases of the circulatory system; Emergency presentations for diseases of the respiratory system; Emergency presentations for injury, poisoning and certain other consequences of external causes; Emergency presentations for other diseases or conditions.\n\nThe data is by Primary Health Network (PHN) 2017 geographic boundaries based on the 2016 Australian Statistical Geography Standard (ASGS).\n\nThere are 31 PHNs set up by the Australian Government. Each network is controlled by a board of medical professionals and advised by a clinical council and community advisory committee.
