Frame-Dependent Response Behavior of Large Language Models Documentation of a Qualitative Observational Study Based on the Paradox Riddle Test

This dataset documents a qualitative observational study on the response behavior of large language models within a structured, multi-step dialogue format. The study is based on more than fifty test runs of a Paradox Riddle Test consisting of five consecutive decision steps followed by a final open-ended question. All test runs were conducted under controlled conditions in independent chat sessions. The documentation focuses on progression-dependent changes in linguistic form, structural organization, rule handling, and self-reference. The analysis follows a qualitative descriptive approach and is limited to observable characteristics of response behavior. No content-based evaluation or theoretical explanation is provided. Based on the observed patterns, several hypotheses are formulated concerning possible relationships between interaction framing and response trajectories. The dataset serves as a transparent documentation of a dialogue format and its observable effects and provides an empirical basis for further investigation.
