This series comprises the program files relating to a range of education, recreation and leisure programs that Parkville Youth Residential Centre ran in partnership with Kangan Batman TAFE and the Department of Education. The files relate to the establishment and review of programs, including their content, audience and delivery mechanisms.Programs were central to each day's activities at the Parkville Youth Residential Centre. Each young person was expected to participate in a range of educational, vocational, health, recreational and leisure programs provided by Parkville Youth Residential Centre staff, the Department of Education and Kangan Batman TAFE.Perusal of the Records Description List will provide evidence of program development and delivery. In addition to the names of programs, the List describes files relating to minutes of meetings, program evaluations and reviews, policy manuals, research projects, service delivery plans, discussion papers and conference papers.A large proportion of the resident population at the Centre have been subject to Protective and Custodial orders.The files were registered with a single number and a PYR prefix. The arrangement of the files has become disordered over time.
