In this study, nested PCR assays to amplify the partial regions of VP7, VP4, and VP6 genes of Rotavirus A (RVA) were newly developed for amplicon-based next-generation sequencing to investigate RVA genotypes in drinking water sources. As a result, high genetic diversity of RVA strains including both human and animal genotypes were successfully observed.
