To evaluate the efficacy of banana endophytes in controlling Fusarium wilt, endophytic bacteria were isolated from banana roots and screened for antagonistic activity. A highly antagonistic strain against the banana wilt pathogen was identified. Genome sequencing was subsequently planned to determine the taxonomic identity of this endophyte, thereby facilitating further investigation into its antimicrobial mechanisms.
