资源简介:
The effective use of soil is becoming increasingly important as part of all measures to further intensify and specialize plant production. This places greater demands not only on soil science research, but also on the evaluation of the site-specific data material to obtain comprehensive information. In many cases, the procedures and methods used to date for evaluating local history data are too time-consuming and not complex enough. Valuable findings are forgotten or are stored in so-called data cemeteries. In the future, it must be possible to provide site-specific documents for planning and decision-making for the qualitative and quantitative assessment of soil properties and for determining the spatial distribution of site-specific resources more quickly. This task can also only be solved in soil science with the help of electronic (better automated) data processing (EDP). For this reason, an (automated) information system “soil parameters” is being set up, which is derived from the soil data memory. The abbreviation DABO is used as the abbreviation.
DABO is divided into various subsystems. The “Municipalities” subsystem (DABO-GEMDAT) is already fully utilized. Data can also be retrieved from the subsystems “Profiles” (DABO-PRODAT) and “Regional types” (DABO-REGDAT; see section 5.4.2.); however, storage is continuing successively here.
There are other data storage and information systems for the rational communication of scientific partial information in the field of plant production, each of which deals with specific issues and questions (DAWIP, DAVEP, DASKE, EDP fertilization system, etc.). They also include site parameters and can therefore also be used to identify and assess soils/sites.
With the establishment of the DABO, a branch of science known as informatics is now also being developed in the field of soil science. Informatics is a discipline that deals with the laws of scientific information activity, its theory, methodology and organization, in order to make the efforts to solve scientific problems more effective. Within the framework of computer science, the structure and properties, rather than the specific content of factual information, are examined, with a particular focus on the use of modern computing technology. Informatics in the field of soil science (soil informatics) becomes effective through a more comprehensive and effective communication of soil science data with the help of EDP.
