This collection comprises images from an Archaeological Standing Buildings Recording at The Thatched House, Church Lane, High Toynton, Horncastle, Lincolnshire. Work was carried out by Border Archaeology in November 2023. The Thatched House comprises a three-unit gabled house built around an earlier traditional Lincolnshire 'mud-and-stud' cottage. The original dwelling comprising a timber frame with mud-and-stud infill built off a brick or stone plinth has been extended with much of the original timberwork replaced by, or faced with, brick. The listing description records 'The Thatched House' as a late 18th century cottage encased in later 18th and 19th century brick.
