This slab of flagstone exhibits a range of incised and pecked designs dating from the late Neolithic (c.2900-2400 BC). The yellow brackets marked on the stone are areas photographed and published in Prof. V. Gordon Childe's 1931 account of his excavations at Skara Brae.
