Exploring the Role of Nasal Microbiota in Fungal Ball Sinusitis Based on Metagenomics

Nasal secretion samples were obtained from three anatomical sites in unilateral maxillary sinus fungal ball cases: fungal ball cavity (A), affected middle nasal meatus (B), and contralateral unaffected middle nasal meatus (C). And in the control group, samples were obtained from the healthy middle nasal meatus (D). Metagenomic sequencing of microbial DNA was performed using the Illumina Novaseq platform.
