Global mortality rate of electricity production 2021, by source

Brown coal has the highest mortality rate of any source of electricity generation. The number of deaths per terawatt-hour of electricity production from brown coal was around 32.72. This was followed by coal overall, wherein the number of deaths per terawatt-hour of electricity production was around 24.62. The lowest number of deaths were attributed to electricity generation from solar sources.
