The SEPVAL 2023 challenge contains lists of 33 SEP events and 30 non-event/quiet periods for and SEP model validation challenge. Participating model developers are asked to submit forecasts for these time periods to Katie Whitman to participate in the challenge. The Rules of Participation are included. For reference, the observed proton fluxes used for validation of the forecasts is included in a zip file.
The SEP events lists were updated to version 5. The previous lists had incorrect time stamps in columns C and D that indicated the time range that could be used to produce forecasts for models that forecast at a regular cadence. Version 5 contains the correct time ranges. There are no other changes to the files in this repo.
