VPRS 2887 Circulars

This series contains the details of circulars composed and dispatched by the Colonial Secretary's Office and the Chief Secretary's Office. Circulars were sent to such groups as all heads of department in the colonial government, groups of specific officials such as Commissioners of Crown Lands and other specific interest groups. Circulars were concerned with matters regarding appointments, instructions for the carrying out of duties, the correct interpretation of regulations and returns to be completed and forwarded to the Colonial Secretary or Chief Secretary by the recipient.Details included are the date and number of the circular, a transcription or later, a pasted in copy of the circular and a list of all addressees for that circular.
