This dataset contains the raw environmental and socio-ecological data, and clear methodological descriptions underlying the study "Assessing Plastic Pollution in Kenyan Mangroves: Distribution, Sources, and Social Impact in Gazi Bay". It includes raw datasets on plastic debris surveys conducted in mangrove forest, as well as the questionnaire used to assess local perceptions, practices, and sources of plastic pollution. Raw interview transcripts and individual-level demographic data are not publicly available due to privacy and ethical constraints.
