The synoptic monthly gridded Japan/East Sea dataset (SMG-JES) provides 3D gridded (T, S) and absolute geostrophic velocity (u,v) data in monthly increment from WOD profiles using the Optimal Spectral Decomposition (OSD)and the P Vector methods. The SMG-JES data has 0.25 degree horizontal resolution and the same 57 vertical levels as the WOA2009 (T, S) fields.
