Despite the significant results obtained from the use of millicompost in the production of vegetable seedlings, little is known about the processes of microbial decomposition and growth promotion that occur simultaneously with the physical action of millipedes on plant residues. The presence of bacterial groups prevalent in the millicompost used as a substrate for vegetable seedlings can exert actions in promoting the growth of vegetable crops that contribute to the productivity and plant health of crops. However, it is important to know whether the microbiota present in millicompost is influenced by storage. In this sense, the NGS technique was used to identify possible variations in the bacterial community throughout the storage of this organic substrate.
