The dynamic changes in small RNA contents during sperm epididymal transit

To address where do those sperm-borne small RNAs come from and whether sperm gain small RNAs during their transit through the epididymis, we further improved the existing method and obtained highly pure sperm from the testis, the caput epididymis, and the cauda epididymis. Using these highly pure sperm, we conducted small RNA deep sequencing followed by annotating the major small RNA species including rsRNAs, tsRNAs, piRNAs, and miRNAs.
