Standard vs. Normative Evaluation: The Impact of Evaluation Methods on Students' Emotional Experiences in Different Evaluation Contexts

Experimental data involved in the study. Study found that the emotional experience of normative evaluation is higher than that of standard evaluation under upward evaluation. Our findings reveal how educators adjust evaluations based on different comparative contexts to mitigate students' negative emotions or enhance their positive experiences. It refines the application framework of social evaluation theory, providing significant reference value for educational evaluation.
