Wildfire in Tàrbena, Alicante, Spain (2024-04-14)

The activation is requested due to a forest fire occurred on the 14 April 2024 at 12:18.The event has evolved rapidly and has endangered population centers and scattered homes. Around 200 people have been evacuated, two roads remain closed, and the fire affects a special area of conservation (ZEC). According to the latest data, about 700 hectares have been burned. The fire is still active, although with a favourable evolution.Copernicus EMS Rapid Mapping is requested to provide initial roughestimation, fire extent and damage assessment emergency mapping.
