For peer review - Characterization of burned and unburned tundra sites in Southwest Alaska

This dataset provides field measurements and estimates of carbon stocks, combustion rates, and fire severity that characterize burned and unburned plots within two tundra fires (East Fork and Apoon Pass Fires) that burned during the 2022 fire season in Southwest Alaska, USA. Carbon stock and fire severity measurements were conducted in 45 field plots (36 burned and nine unburned plots) one year after the fire. The dataset also contains fire severity measures from 41 additional plots (38 burned and three unburned plots) that were specifically designated for this purpose. These measures were performed by an independent team following the standard operating procedures of Hrobak and Barnes (2020). Methods are described in detail in the related publication.
