Frequency and Ordering Patterns of Autoantibody Tests Across Morphea Subtypes

This dataset summarizes the frequency and ordering patterns of 14 autoantibody tests, including four scleroderma-specific tests (ANA, anti–Scl–70, anti–RNA polymerase III, and anti–centromere), across morphea subtypes in 544 patients over 5 years. The data, collected through a retrospective chart review, show that scleroderma specific tests are frequently ordered across all morphea subtypes, despite their limited clinical utility. No significant differences in testing frequency were observed between subtypes. These findings suggest potential overuse of autoimmune serologies and support the need for more targeted testing guidelines in morphea.
