Data used for the manuscript titled "Biological significance of song performance limits in birdsong"

The files include a general data table, with acoustic features measured in individual notes that is then used to estimate the performance limits in males (df.note.before.vocallimits_2024_06_05.txt - r blue tit age and season_data preparation DQLMM_2025_07_08.R) and females (df.note.before.vocallimits_2025_07_08_females.txt - r blue tit age and season_data preparation DQLMM_2025_07_08_females.R). The final data set including the competence song metrics is called df.note.ready_2025_07_08.txt. This data set is then used to analyse seasonal variation (r age & season_limits_2025_12_03.R), and individual reproductive success r rep success exploration_limits_2025_07_07.R.
