A physics-grounded benchmark dataset (1,000 records, 12 features, 3 balanced classes) for classifying the carbon footprint of machine learning model training, built on the operational emission formulation of the Green AI literature (Lacoste et al. 2019; Patterson et al. 2021). Labels are derived by applying the emission formula, adding log-space Gaussian noise (sigma=0.20) matching real reporting-tool uncertainty, and quantile thresholding into balanced Low/Medium/High classes.
