Human Idiot Puppet (HIP): Experiments with Digital Clowning and PuppetryA 300 word statement summarising the Human Idiot Puppet (HIP) project led by Richard Talbot. This was initiated during a Covid Lockdown and continued until 2023 with dissemination workshops continuing up to 2025. It used a Performance Practice-as-Research methodology to explore community co-devising online with international participants. The project using livestream technology, Open Broadcast Software, live editing. Community groups worked on physical comedy skills including clowning and puppetry, story boards, and consumer online interfaces to create intermedial performances.
