Metagenomic analysis of gut microbiota modulation in healthy donors and IBD patients by fermentation of novel prebiotics. The study considered sugar beet pectooligosaccharides (SBPOS) enriched in arabinooligosaccharides, pine-derived galactoglucomannooligosaccharides (GGMOS), and lemon-derived pectooligosaccharides enriched in oligogalacturonides (LPOS) in comparison with oligofructose. IBD patients, mainly in remission or early relapse, were divided into two study groups according to whether they had ulcerative colitis or Crohn's disease.
