This dataset contains camera trap location ID's as rows and environmental variable information of each camera trap site as columns. <br> The environmental variables included are: NDVI, distance to lake, distance to river, distance to trail, distance to settlement, and location/hunting category (non-hunted at Cocha Cashu; or hunted: Maizal, Tayakome, Yomibato). <br> NDVI was extracted from a Landsat 8 raster with 30m pixel resolution across years 2013-2015 using Google Earth Engine code editor. For each pixel NDVI was calculated using the spectral band equation (Near Infrared - Red) / (Near Infrared + Red). <br> Hunting trails were georeferenced with a GPS unit (Garmin GPSMAP 62 CSx with external antennas) during the camera trap survey. <br> Settlements, rivers, and lakes were digitised in QGIS version 3.16.5 using a false colour composite Landsat 8 image at 30m resolution derived from Google Earth Engine. Distance indices were computed for each layer (1m x 1m) and then extracted, as well as NDVI, to each camera trap point coordinate.
