Data obtained during the research experiments (leaching with citric acid, bioleaching with the use of A. thiooxidans bacteria and A. niger funghi) of the project entitled "Biological recovery of metals from used lithium-ion batteries with the use of extremophilic microorganisms" financed by the grant Miniatura 6 of the National Science Center (NCN) 2022/06/X/ST10/00230.The research aimed to determine the potential of biological methods using extremophilic microorganisms to recover metals from waste lithium-ion batteries - cobalt, copper, lithium and nickel. The dataset contains the results of research conducted in this area. As part of the experiments, the metal recovery rates from the battery powder were determined by the metal concentrations in the starting material and solutions after leaching using the ICP-OES method. In addition, the quantitative and qualitative composition of the battery powder and residues after leaching using the XRD method was established. The README file contains a description and explanation of all deposited files.
